HVC in GSEZ Concessions
In its aim to reach the FSC® Forest Management Certification of some of their concessions, GSEZ opted for Eticwood expertise to lead High Conservation Value studies (HCV).
Through an extensive analysis of available management documents, socio-economic, wildlife or environmental impact studies as well as scientific publications and bibliographic research, Eticwood has identified numerous High Conservation Values in GSEZ forests. Those results are currently shared with stakeholders for validation. Based on this process, action plans are already developed with GSEZ sustainable management and certification team to ensure the protection of these Values while maintaining economic viability.
Reaching FSC® Certification is a strong engagement for responsible management of forests and Eticwood is proud to support GSEZ in this challenge.
